Eph 2: 8-10  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—  not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do

God has prepared in advance something for each of us to do.  Because we are His masterpiece there is a usefulness that He has for our lives.

God hasn’t given up on His dream that He has had about your life.

#2) Plant yourself in the Source of your true Identity

So as you listen to this podcast, hear the simple and yet varied ways you can begin to pinpoint, plant and then participate in your true identity.

Self awareness is an essential key that opens the door to patterns of living and being that are actually sabotaging your life.  It is also a way that you can begin to live further into the life you actually yearn for.

We’ve created a chart that will help you identify which “identity lens” you are viewing your life through at any given time.

These comparisons can be used as a spiritual practice. Each day or 2-3 times a week,  spend a few minutes to take snap shots of which identity that you are living out of.

Here are just a few of them.  (* By the way, this isn’t intended for you to be harsh or critical with yourself or others, but to increase your self- awareness.)

LTP 18- Our #1 Go-To Tool For Personal Transformation

In this podcast Episode, David & Caron Loveless discuss how to use a specific tool that can bring personal clarity and see quantum internal shifts that give you the ability to dramatically improve your emotional, spiritual, professional and relational life.

Earlier this week we wrote a blog on: “One Simple Test That Can Change Your Life.”  Today on this podcast, we want to go more in-depth regarding this transformational tool.

This tool is like an MRI for the soul that can help you pinpoint both the goodness in you as well as what is causing you to suffer… and where you also make others suffer.

IMG_8438

What we’ve discovered is this:

It is actually at the intersection of knowing God

and authentically knowing ourselves

that we find genuine and lasting transformation.

One Simple Test That Can Change Your Life

It’s hard to imagine what life was like before X-rays, MRI’s and brain scans. Thanks to these incredible detection devices we can now know what ails us with pinpoint accuracy.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a similar tool for our souls? A tool that can help us more accurately detect our emotional and spiritual health? Well, we think there actually is one. We have used it on ourselves, and on many others and the results have brought tremendous insight and life change to us all.

IMG_8436

And today we want to share it with you.

There was a time we believed

the key to personal and spiritual health and growth

could be summed up in simply knowing and following God.

Sounds right, doesn’t it? But, let’s think about that.

Think about the people you know who thoroughly believe in God, they go to church, attend Bible studies, and pray. And, maybe these folks do really good things for others, they’re super generous with their time and talents yet, still, there are some pretty significant snags and gaps in their attitudes, actions or relationships.

No one is perfect.  But, if success in life comes from just knowing and following God, why is it that so many of us are not farther along?

LTP 16- Discover Your Life Worth

In this podcast Episode, David Loveless talks about how to discover the wealth of your life worth statement.

Most of us have have conformed to our cultural conditioning in which we’ve been told that our Net Worth Statement, is actually what we’re are worth.  But it’s a lie.  We’ve got great news for you today, you are wealthier than you imagined… right now.

Earlier this week we wrote a blog on “The Winning Ticket is in Your Pocket.”  We promised to do a podcast this week on the same thing, where we could explore this more in depth.  So here it is.

The Winning Ticket Is In Your Pocket

Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know recently there was a record Powerball lottery prize of $1.5 billion dollars.  I won’t ask if you bought a ticket or if your palms were sweaty as they called out the winning numbers. If you bought one, just nod your head.  If you didn’t buy one, try not to be smug about it.

Several folks had hoaxes played on them. Some friend or family member with a twisted sense of humor tricked them into believing they had won it all.  I suspect of few of those guys ended up in traction.

IMG_8198

Though I didn’t buy a ticket for this Powerball( Caron says she was tempted) I do admit to buying probably 4-5 tickets at various times in the past. Clearly, I was desperate. So I threw a “hail mary” in the direction of my debts and retirement.  But no dice. Dropped balls every time.

Except this one time.

Most every year, over the past 3 decades of my life, I’ve gotten away for a couple of days, at the end of the year, to review the previous year, before planning the new one.

One of the primary values of doing a “Year-End Review” is having a process to complete the past so you’re able to bring forward, into the new year, lessons learned from the previous one.  But then you don’t want to drag any of the unnecessary parts into the future, where it might sabotage it.

LTP 12- Finding Your Way Home

Why is there always a gap between the home we long for and the home we have? How can you find your way home today to a place that represents the answer to that.

Whether at Christmas time or normal time, the theme of “home” has a profound sensation to it.

  • Example of: “I’ll be home for Christmas.”
  • Example of “Home” by Phillip Phillips.

There are few words as powerful as “home.” It can fill your heart… it can make you smile… make you cry… not matter what you age or condition of life.

There’s a longing for Home inside us that NO Home in this world can satisfy.

Nothing to Prove: Chapter 2: What We Know Now

The following is an excerpt from our new ebook that is available beginning today.  This book is a a very candid, behind the scenes look, at the journey of transformation that we’ve been on the last several years, and the things we’ve learned that can help change your life as well.

Chapter 2:  What We Know Now

You can never be other than who you are

until you are willing to embrace the reality of who you are.

David Benner

You don’t have to experience a tragedy like ours, or any other failure with a thousand different names, in order to identify the real root of your own internal issues. We hope it won’t come to that. Our purpose in writing this book is to help you avoid some of the ditches in your future if at all possible. Unfortunately, for many of us it often does take a serious trial, illness or loss to break us open enough to see parts of our life that aren’t working so well.

An Unexpected Place to Meet God

To connect and be close to God is really the most natural thing in the world. Unfortunately, religion has often made it complicated and un-natural.  Here is just one of five simple ways you can use to bring an extraordinary God into your ordinary day.

Meeting God where your wild beasts roam

Have you ever noticed what happens when you’re all alone… when it gets quiet… when there is nothing to distract you?  Often times, that’s when the “wild beasts” appear.

IMG_7371

These ‘beasts’ are the things we would rather not deal with… un-healed hurts… past negative conversations that prick your ego…reminders of past failures… current lack… or anticipated need.

When most of us feel these beasts lurking, we immediately try to distract ourselves because we get fearful or uncomfortable with the feelings they stir up. Stop right there. That is exactly the place, that uncomfortable, fearful, anxious moment, where God is.
