Podcast Episode 47- How To Take What The Wind Hands You

By April 4, 2017 No Comments

Every happy sailor knows “how to take what the wind hands you” and say YES to it.  If you don’t, you suffer because of it. Over the years, I’ve gotten to do a lot of sailing on the ocean, often for days at a time. More often than not, during the journey, the wind would shift multiple times, both in its direction as well as its velocity.

This happens in our lives, doesn’t it?  We plan our day… our week… our work… our relational world a certain way, and then all of a sudden, there is either a small shift or sometimes, a seismic shift in the direction that we thought our lives were going to go.

What do we do then?

In today’s podcast, I’ll be talking about the shift I’ve been learning of starting the day with a YES versus a NO.  This concept from the life of Jesus, in Matthew 26, can significantly move one’s life from constantly suffering, when you don’t have control over everything, to more regularly experiencing happiness and goodness- no matter what the circumstances.
